SnappyTV is a hot startup killing it on social media. We seek a top-notch, sales exec to join our team and help us keep our electrifying growth. We make it super fast and super easy to create, edit and distribute video highlight clips through social media and mobile devices. Video Backend and Serving Engineer

Location: San Francisco

What you need:

• To communicate well. Know when to speak up and when to listen. It’s more fun that way.
• To be responsible. You do what you say you will.
• You are a self-starter. Bring ideas and prototypes to the group.
• Have a CS degree or equivalent.

Experience:

• 5+ years (10 ideal) of experience as a software engineer
• C/C++ expert
• OOD
• Linux
• Video transcoding, live stream, etc experience
• Ruby experience

It would be great if you have:

• Been a contributor to open source video serving or processing projects
  
• Some experience with rails 3 + ruby 1.9.2+
• Written and maintained ruby extensions in C
• Flash experience
• Java experience
